Subject: New SCSI driver - problems

I installed a new kernel with the new sbic driver a moment ago. I had
to disable sync transfers to make it work with my old Quantum drives.

The kernel worked fine until I tried to cmp a big file against to itself.
The cmp went ok for some time, but then hung. Now, if I try to access
the second drive, that process immediately hangs (waits forever). The
other disk still works ok.

I never saw this with the old SCSI driver. I'm running the 950819
kernel on A3000/25 with 2+8 megs RAM and 170MB/80MB Quantum drives.
This is what ps says:

USER PID %CPU %MEM VSZ RSS TT STAT STARTED TIME COMMAND
jmarin 116 0.0 0.0 56 328 p0- DW 6:19PM 0:02.29 cmp sys.tar.gz s
jmarin 145 0.0 0.0 184 136 p1 DW+ 6:33PM 0:00.15 ls -l

I wonder if anyone else has seen this problem, and if so, if there's
a solution.
