LoadBSD will not work under 1.4 beta. It and ixemul.library rely on
routines found only in 2.04 and up (Trust me, I tried it just for kicks).
I'm not sure why your Amiga works in ADos, but in any case, the
hardware check for Static Column memory occurs in bank 0, chip 0. You need
only to change out that one chip to have a burst-disabled Amiga. I think.
It's been a while since I helped anyone deal with this, or even thought about
computers for that matter - 2 months too long away from all you guys ;^)
You will not be able to boot NetBSD with all 8 Megs until you make
such a change - or get a modified kernel that forces burst off (more trouble
than pulling a chip or four, IMHO).
