You don't have to add anything, it's all there. :-)

What exactly wasn't clear?

You need a kernel that supports SLIp, then ifconfig your interface (done via
creating /etc/hostname.sl0), then start 'slattach /dev/tty00' as soon as you
got a (modem or direct) connection with your SLIP-provider, i.e. usually after
dialing in by using kermit or such.

I thought that all this was in the networking intro/faq, no?
