My apologies if I'm sending this twice, I'm not 100 percent sure that I'm using
SMTPpost correctly.

I thought I did, but I'll try again.  I think I also used tar, instead of the 
statically linked tar.bak, so maybe some of the shared libs where busy when I
tried to replace them.
