I have been trying to get my posts out 3 times now, without any
luck. However, my replies seem to get through, therefore I am just
doing a reply to something now. How come I don't get through with
plain mail to owner-amiga@NetBSD.ORG? (I'm sure its just some lame
mistake from my side :)
Anyway, here's what I wanted to say:
I have downloaded the TeX binaries from ftp.uni-regensburg.de,
however the other files apart from the binaries are missing.
So, I used archie fo find tex.tar. The response was quite huge,
with tonnes of *tex.tar files potentially being the one I need :(
So, to do it the easy way: Which files are needed in addition
to the binaries to run a basic Tex? (Or LaTex, ArabTex or AmsTex -I
am a bit confused, as you might understand) I want to write reports
and print it out with GhostScript. I neither have the need or
the room for a 'full installation'(I think that is a relative word
when talking TeX :)
I have installed the GhostScript version in ftp.uni-regensburg.de.
If I need more GS fonts, please tell me.
I have had a look at the TeX installation at my univerity, and it is
HUGE, and spread over quite a few directories. So I hope there is
something inbetween.
Another thing that is bothering me, is that large fonts look very
jaggy when output from GS. I hope there is some way to fix this,
as I need quality output on my printer.
Thanks for your time.
