I haven't had any luck getting Chimera to work properly (1.0, X11R6).  Has
anybody else?

When compiled and installed, it works fine on pages but GIFs are replaced
with 'X's.  Checking processes when it happens, the various parts of
pbmplus are being run properly.

And odd thing, which might or might not be related, is that the /var/tmp
file, having xv run on it, seems to be truncated.

Any help would be greatly appreciated: it would be great to have source
to a working web browser that didn't depend upon Motif.
