I'm quite certain that's the case, at least for NFSv2. I don't know
what specs there is for lockd & statd for NFSv2. RFC1813 does cover
NFSv3's lock manager though, and I recall that the problem with NFSv2
was solved in there. The NFSv3 impl. ready for BSD44, did it
