Hi
I already posted about the problem iam having with term since I
updated to the latest binaries to NetBSD -current.
finally I got term to work again, but I had to set the line to
sevenbit and escape the XOn, XOff characters (17, 19). the performance
is miserable, I get about 14 - 120 cps on a 9600baud connection. I
goyt around 1100 cps with the old system on the same line. using
kermit by itself doesn't seem to be any faster. I really would like to
know what could cause this behaviour. I didn't need to set term to
sevenbit mode before. What has changed in the new rootfs, that might
influence the serial line performance.
One more thing I found is that when using th e linecheck proram the
output on the local (netbsd) machine is clear, nothing needs to be
escaped, but on the remote end of the line (Sun4) not even one
character comes throug that is valid, they all arrive as invalid packets.
eg.
Also linecheck hangs at the end and needs to be stopped by typeing it
5 0s.
(This is the output of linecheck on the remote machine)
