I like this idea, because the problem is real.


Whilst you're enhancing envsys(4), could you also consider
adding ENVSYS_STREDATA as I proposed in
	http://mail-index.netbsd.org/tech-kern/2005/10/09/0000.html
?

It should be a SMOP, but one I haven't gotten around to doing yet :)
