Hmm, 2.99.x is definitely not like 2.0.  If you're really
running an (newer than 2.x codebase but still old) -current,
you should rather the latest -current or the netbsd-3 branch.

I don't know about that issue, but try a newer kernel, if you're really
running 2.99.x and not 2.0.x.
