With the GPL, you can't even give away binaries built from modified
sources without giving away the source, too. With BSD licensed code,
you can. Note that the license holder is alway free to make
arrangements with you to sell you different license (for the same
code), and some even give you a choice of (free) GPL or (free)
"not-for-profit". There's no standard "not-for-profit" license, that's
just a generic description of what your group seems to want.  The BSD
license is still more liberal than not-for-profit.
