I just upgraded a 3/80 from 1.6Zsomething to 3.0. I didn't notice any
noticeable slowdown, but I didn't try compiling anything on this box yet.

BTW, I upgraded an alphastation 255 from 1.6.2 to 3.0 (it's my main
workstartion) and it's much faster.
