Hello,

My apologies to everyone who is (no doubt) sick of getting questions about
flaky hardware on this list.

I finally suceeded in getting my 3/50 to net-boot. I dd'ed the miniroot
onto the hard disk just fine, but when I try to boot it (>b sd(0,0,1) -s)
the ufsboot loads and executes but I get an error "dma never completed"
part-way through loading the kernel (netbsd).

The PROM diags report RAM OK (8 megs) but don't seem to like the DMA part
of the SCSI. Has anyone had any experience with this? Are the PROM
diagnostics fairly reliable on this issue? I'm puzzled because I can
disklabel and dd the miniroot just fine.

Any help would be greatly apprciated. Feel free to mail me personally.
Thank you all very much for bringing us netbsd for sun-3.
