Subject: Installing Ross hypersparcs in a SS10

Howdy folks,

I recently picked up 2 Ross Hypersparc 90's (with no cache,
unfortunately). I thought I'd stick them in my SS10 and do some simpel
benchmarks against them, comparing them to the single 35Mhz (I think, I
don't have a dmesg handy) CPU /with/ cache that I currently have.

I'm unable to get the system to boot with either CPU (never mind dual).
I get a beep and what sounds like a 1/2 second of hard-drive activity
when the power is turned on, but the monitor light never goes from
orange to green.

I don't have any documentation on the Ross CPUs. Are there any jumper
changes or other pre-installation things that I should have done?

Assuming that I eventually get it running with the dual Hypersparcs,
will my NetBSD -current installation work with these CPUs? The web page
says "all hypersparcs", but it also has a caveat about CPUs without
cache in a MP setting.

Thanks for your help,

-T
