Subject: serial console problem with SS1+

Dear All,

I installed NetBSD -current on SS1+ recently. I have a cg3 frame buffer
but no monitor, so I have set the console to use serial port A. This works
just fine - except that when I disconnect the terminal (ie. another machine
with a terminal emulator program), syslogd can no longer write messages to
console and starts eating all CPU time it can possibly get.

I tried adding 'local' and 'softcar' flags to the console entry in /etc/ttys,
but this didn't seem to help.

Any ideas? Please e-mail as I don't subscribe to this list (yet?).

Thanks in advance,

  -jm
