and would like to install NetBSD, but the boot CD at
<ftp://ftp.ayamura.org/people/ayamura/NetBSD/sgimipscd-1.6.1.iso.gz>
didn't boot, it failed with

> setenv SystemPartition scsi(0)disk(4)rdisk(0)partition(8)
> setenv OSLoadPartition scsi(0)disk(4)rdisk(0)partition(0)
> setenv OSLoader boot
> setenv OSLoadFilename netbsd
> setenv OSLoadOptions auto
> boot

i'll probably try a netboot later, but the caveats listed here:
<http://raisdorf.net/files/NetBSD/faq.html#sys_o2> make me leery.
how old is this document? has anything (particularly the onboard
NIC) been fixed? if not, what NICs will work with NetBSD? any
gotchas i should be aware of in the install process?

thanks in advance
