No.

Drivers now have attributes, and devices can attach to things with a=20
common attribute. This is so you can say

scsibus* at scsi?

as opposed to:

scsibus* at adv?
scsibus* at adw?
scsibus* at ahc?
scsibus* at bha?
scsibus* at iha?
scsibus* at isp?
scsibus* at esp?
scsibus* at mesh?
scsibus* at pcscp?
scsibus* at siop?
scsibus* at esiop?
scsibus* at trm?

Config files are simpler, they change less as you add and remove devices,=
=20
and we better-support LKMs.

Take care,

Bill
