  First, newer kernels:  You'll find all the latest kernels at
ftp.netbsd.org under /pub/NetBSD/arch/mac68k/kernels
  I would recommend trying GENERIC-16, or GENERICSBC-16 SBC/non-SBC simply
depends on the type of scsi bus your computer uses, and I can't remember
what the 2si uses, try 'um both unless someone else hollers. =)

  Second, X: download these:
ftp.netbsd.org /pub/NetBSD/arch/mac68k/X11/xserver.961105
ftp.netbsd.org /pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-1.2/mac68k/X11/xbase12
ftp.netbsd.org /pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-1.2/mac68k/X11/xcomp12

  Use the installer program on the macos side to install the X packages.

  I wouldn't recommend trying to mix any of the newer GENERIC kernels with
the 'distribution' packages (eg comp12 and base12), as you will get a LOAD
of 'out of synch' type errors.  If GENERIC16 (sbc or not) doesn't run,
you'll have to download a pack from the '-current' side of life, something
I've not tried (yet?).
