Just FYI:

The random crashes that people have been experiencing on their 68LC040
based machines (such as PB520/540, Performa/LC630, etc.) are *expected*
to occur at this moment.

They are not due to any hardware peculiarity of the model they use,
but due to bug(s) in the floating point emulation code which was
written with no knowledge of the LC040 floating point exception
handling.

The problem is known and well understood, and the work to fix it is
being progressed, albeit very slowly. It will be announced when it is
submitted and checked into the current tree.

Thanks,

Ken Nakata
