yes - when Smoothwall starts up, I can mount the CDROM and list the files i=
n it.

[root@smoothwall /] mount -t auto /dev/hdb /mnt/cdrom/
mount: block device /dev/hdb is write-protected, mounting read-only
[root@smoothwall /] cd /mnt/cdrom/
[root@smoothwall /] ls
CHANGES  CHANGES-2.0.1 CHANGES.prev README.files boot.i386 shared/
CHANGES-2.0 CHANGES-2.0.2 LAST_MINUTE boot.catalog i386/

any ideas?
