When this happens, try just restarting rpc.bootparamd.  I've had
netbooting problems go away with nothing more than restarting the
relevant daemons.  (In one case, this was because the daemon had a file
descriptor leak and its file table filled up.  Fuzzy memory says that
was rarpd, but it could have been rpc.bootparamd.)
