The difference is that the XP55T2P4 is in ATX Form Factor, while the
P55T2P4 is not. That means the all slots are useable in full lenght,
but that also means that you have to have a special case for it, because
it won't fit into the old cases. An additional advantege of the ATX is, that
you don't need an additional CPU fan, because the CPU get's cooled by the
normal power supply fan.

ATX is the way to go for all new boards.
