I don't know if anyone answered your question, and now it's a month
later.  But I've got one of those cards too, and the only support in
relased XFree86 is SVGA.  It uses an ARK chipset.  There is support in
XFree86 3.1.2A which was in beta last time I looked.

Did you leave Proteon?  Where are you now?
