	No .. since NetBSD beyond 1.0 only began working on the majority of
Cyrix SLC processors as of mid-late September (?, I could be wrong on this
date), I had run 1.0 up until very recently. It functioned very well both
before and after I upgraded.

	Since I know several people who use the ZIP successfully, and one of
them had difficulties with cabling that caused the same problems you describe
(worked under DOS, no under netbsd) then I suspect this (or similar) is your
problem.
