Having got my hands on an Ether3, I've been making some progress with
getting the "ea" driver working sanely.  I've fixed it so that it
generates correctly-aligned mbufs (as of if_ea.c 1.3), and by restricting
NFS transfers to 1k (rather than the usual 8k) I can get up to a
single-user shell prompt with root on my Ether3.  There are still many
problems with the driver, but it is at least useful now.
