Just a few words: The NetBSD Distribution does not include the packages.
The package system is of course NetBSD-oriented, means, the maintainers of
the packages apply NetBSD-specific patches to the software packages when
required.
Also, not all packages are allowed to be distributed on CD-ROM or in
binary form at all.
