Hello,
when I boot my new DEC 3000 the SCSI SRM initialization takes some
times...
rebooting...


  83 BOOT SYS
INIT-S-CPU...
INIT-S-ASIC...
INIT-S-MEM...
INIT-S-NVR...
INIT-S-CXT...
INIT-S-SCC...
INIT-S-NI...
INIT-S-SCSI...

it takes something like 30 40 seconds on the INIT-S-SCSI then it goes
ahead with no errors. I installed a Quantum 18GB.
Is all this normal ? I mean the fact that it takes a long time to scan the
scsi  bus?
