port-alpha: egcs compiler

I'd like to use a latest egcs C++ compiler on my PC-164 NetBSD-Alpha.

It seems there is no egcs port in pkg tree of NetBSD, whereas default compiler is egcs-1.1.1 on current.

When I tried to build a snapshot of egcs a few weeks ago, 

	egcs>gmake bootstrap

it failed at the begining of state 2 or so.

Has somebody succeeded in building an egcs snapshot or egcs-1.1.1 on Alpha?
Any related information is helpful.
