-current built-in heimdal/krb5 not sufficient for some packages?

While running pkg_rolling-replace on an i386-current (9.99.38) system,
I noticed that it installed "security/heimdal" to fulfill dependencies
of:

  p5-GSSAPI-0.28nb10
  curl-7.67.0

(pkgsrc-2019Q4)

On the same machine running 9.0_RC1, this is not the case.

ISTR that -current got updated heimdal recently. Why should it be
considered not sufficient for these (and other?) packages and thus
prompt the building of "security/heimdal" from pkgsrc?

Will update packages on amd64-current soon and see if the same thing
happens.
