I have some question. I locate the xenbackendd.c file to patch but (i don't know why) i do a ""make clean" and now my xenkernel41 directory is "clean
!!" and i lost the file (i know i'm sutpid).

You can do a "make extract", which will create the "work" folder and
extract all the files, then patch the file and proceed with the normal
"make install clean...".

So if i understood i must re-do a make && make install (who will create the tools directory and the xenbackendd.c file) and after patch the file and
redo a make && make install ?

Or i can use the patched file with a fresh xenkernel41 direcory ?

Thank's.

Bruno.

Re,

I do a make extract on the /usr/pkgsrc/sysutils/xenkernel41.
I patch the xenbackendd.c and do make install.
I copy/paste the xen.gz locate on /usr/pkgsrc/sysutils/xenkernel41/work to /.

But i still have the same message. I when i do a ls -l on /usr/pkg/sbin the xenbachendd still have an old date. I think take the binary is not update.

May be i must uninstall xenkernel41 before ? After the make install i have a message that tell me "pkg_add: package `xenkernel41-4.1.1' already recorded as installed"

Thank's

Bruno
