NetBSD beren.lan.duplex 1.6.2 NetBSD 1.6.2 (GENERIC) #0: Wed Feb 11 08:05:11 UTC 2004 autobuild@tgm.netbsd.org:/autobuild/netbsd-1-6-PATCH002/sparc/OBJ/autobuild/netbsd-1-6-PATCH002/src/sys/arch/sparc/compile/GENERIC sparc

>Description:
I started the build for /usr/pkgsrc/meta-pkgs/xfce4 on my machine, after sup'ing the latest pkgsrc tree. The build followed along nicely, until it ran into /usr/pkgsrc/sysutils/xfce4-fm . It ran along compiling nicely until it hit the file glade_gui.c located in work/xffm-4.0.4/src. Once it got to this file, it gcc started to consume ram on my machine at the rate of 1mb/minute till it hit the 190mb mark. At this point in time, I was deep into swap. From there, it continued to slowly use more and more swap/ram until I killed the process after about 3 hours. I've done a make clean in that directory, and have started the build over, with the same results. http://irc.geekport.com/packages/ has the package repository i've built so far, if you need to examine anything. I can send specific outputs if needed.
>How-To-Repeat:
cd /usr/pkgsrc/meta-pkgs/xfce4
make package && make clean clean-depends
watch the console till you run out of ram and swap.
