	I really have no idea what is going on here, but I couldn't
help noticing the message about the ethernet card.  These cards can
have code on them, in addition to just being another factor in the
hardware that perhaps noone has dealt with before.  If this is an
actual card and not something built into the machine (I don't know
what a CI is, either), you might try taking it out.
