Ah, yes, in case anyone's wondering, 1.5.1 probes the BCM5700 as:

unknown vendor 0x14e4 product 0x1644 (ethernet network, revision 0x10)
 at pci3 dev 8 function 0 not configured

(I checked current's pcidevs using cvsweb and didn't see a vendor
entry for Broadcom yet there, either)
