How can one set the compressed mode on a 4mm tape drive using mt?
The drive at bootup is identified as
 Mar 10 07:00:24 /netbsd: st0 at scsibus0 targ 4 lun 0: <ARCHIVE, Python
 02635-XXX, 567D> SCSI2 1/sequential removable

sold as a Sun 4-8gig 4mm tape drive. I'm using the 90meter Soney
DG90M tapes, so the max should be 4 gig in a compressed mode.

Also, the "mt status" doesn't return much useful status, like
block number or file number on the tape. I've used it on some
other platforms where more is reported. I'm sure adding frills
to mt is low priority, but more here would be nice.

I'm using 1.2C ( current) on a Sparc IPX.
