Nice idea, execpt that Curt's recollection is that a non-Win95 system
on the same Ethernet as the Win95 box, and thus using the same path to
a given host, does *not* suffer the reassembly timeout problem.  While
not conclusive, this makes the  Win95 IP reassembly  a very strong suspect.

Well.. Buggy hardware is buggy hardware.  The correc solution is to
fix it.  Many but not all the bugs were fixed in the Rev F. DEQNA, but
there were still problems with Ethernet-based VAXclusters.
Eventually, DEC gave up and all customers with maintenance contracts
(or was it LAVC licenses?) got a ``mandatory'' (free) upgrade to a DELQA.

If only Microsoft worked the same way...
